<image:title>ABOUT ME - About Me So, this is us, and these are the reasons why I do what I do. I love being a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist but my favorite, yet most exhausting role is being a mom to this crazy crew. Yes, it is chaos in our house most days. When I am not working you can find me doing all the mom things like driving my children all over central IL or cleaning the kitchen because it seems that all children do is eat…and make messes doing it. The Champaign-Urbana area has always been our home and a small town girl is all I ever aspire to be. My Journey I am in love with what I do. People often say we go into professions to help ourselves — and that couldn’t be truer for me. I grew up thinking I was “too big” and “never skinny enough.” Like so many of us, I internalized the messages around me: that smaller was better, thinner was healthier, and food was something to be controlled. As a young adult, I fell into a cycle of disordered eating — overexercising, abusing diet pills, and restricting in the name of “health.” I thought that if I studied nutrition, I could finally outrun my fear of being fat. That once I knew all the “right” things, I could finally be in control. But what I found on my journey was something much more meaningful — and healing. Studying nutrition didn’t lead me to restriction. It led me to freedom. It introduced me to intuitive eating, weight-inclusive care, and the revolutionary idea that I didn’t have to fight my body — I could trust it. Now, I help others find that same peace. I work with people who are tired of the food rules, tired of dieting, tired of feeling like their worth is tied to a number on the scale. Together, we untangle the noise, rebuild trust with your body, and rediscover what nourishment really means — physically, mentally, and emotionally. I want to show you how to listen to your body and nourish it in a way that works for you — and your family. If you’re a busy parent, I hear you — I’m in the thick of it too. Let’s talk about how to make this doable in real life: grocery shopping without stress, meal prepping in a way that saves your sanity, joyful movement (not punishment), and raising kids who can trust themselves around food. Eating well doesn’t have to be perfect — it can be fun. We can bring joy back to the table, find satisfaction in simple meals, and maybe even rediscover the magic of cooking — while dancing in the kitchen. Because you deserve a relationship with food that feels good — and your kids do too. So if you have ever felt like food is the enemy… if you’ve ever felt like your body is a problem to solve… you are not alone. And you are welcome here. Let’s rewrite your story — with compassion, curiosity, and zero judgment.</image:title>
